Kellyanne Conway reportedly confronted Meghan McCain at a women’s event this weekend over comments the latter had made about her marriage while she was on ABC’s The View, according to a witness who spoke exclusively to The Daily Beast.
The Daily Beast reported on Sunday that Conway – a close ally to President-elect Donald Trump – saw McCain at the The Washington Post’s third annual Global Women’s Summit last Thursday, Nov. 21. She reportedly confronted her in an exchange that a witness described as “like something from the Real Housewives.”
Per a source who claims to have heard a comment made to the daughter of late Arizona Senator John McCain, Conway was upset over years-old comments the former View host made about her public marriage to NeverTrump star George Conway.
“Kellyanne walked up to Meghan and said, ‘I wasn’t going to say this while I was miked but do you remember what you said about me and my marriage on The View?’” the Beast’s source said. “You called my
Conway reportedly added, “Do you realize what you said and what you did? Do you realize all the people you hurt?”
According to the witness, McCain appeared “shaken” by the confrontation and left shortly after.
The source said, “Meghan said it was making her uncomfortable but that seemed to make it worse.”
Before ABC alum, who exited The View in 2021, left the event, she reportedly replied to Conway, “I don’t remember what I said that hurt you.”
In a comment to the Beast, Conway said:
I waited until the cameras and microphones were off to privately and calmly address the very public insults she has directed at my family. She may wish to outrun her recent past as a years-long resident Mean Girl on The View and Bravo, where her mouth was a spigot of vile and bile hurled toward people and topics she does not know, including my marriage and children, and casually lying about silly things like me calling her (I don’t have her number).
Per the Beast, Conway was stirred by multiple comments from 2018 to 2020 in which McCain called her ill-fated marriage “gross.”

As Mediaite reported in December 2019, McCain commented on the Conway marriage when she stated, “I think they have a really sick relationship.”
