Trump Campaign Hits Back at Ex-GOP Lawmaker For Claiming Former President Stinks: ‘Adam Kinzinger Farted On Live TV’
Former President Donald Trump’s 2024 campaign responded to allegations from former Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) that the GOP leader has a distinct odor.
Kinzinger, who opposed Trump before and after he left office, took to his X account earlier this week to encourage those close to the former president to “wear a mask.”
“I’m genuinely surprised how people close to Trump haven’t talked about the odor,” Kinzinger wrote. “It’s truly something to behold. Wear a mask if you can.”

Kinzinger’s accusation went viral on social media and led to many users mocking the former president for his odor.
On Thursday, The Independent received a response from the Trump campaign slamming Kinzinger for being an “unemployed fraud.”
“Adam Kinzinger farted on live TV and is an unemployed fraud,” a Trump spokesperson told the outlet. “He has disgraced his country and disrespects everyone around him because he is a sad individual who is mad about how his miserable life has turned out.”
Other public figures have also claimed that Trump has a distinct smell. In November, Comedian Kathy Griffin said during an interview Mary Trump that the former president smells “like body odor with kind of like scented makeup products.”
