CNN Anchor Drops Brutal Zinger On Trump Rant About Being ‘Forced To Sell My Babies’ To Pay Fraud Bond

CNN anchor John Berman dropped a zinger over former President Donald Trump’s rant about being forced to sell his properties to pay his fraud appeal bond — in which he complained about being forced “to sell my ‘babies’.”

The deadline for Trump to pay the bond to appeal the fraud judgment — which could cost him in excess of $460 million if appeals are unsuccessful — is Monday. Just after midnight, Trump raged about the deadline on Truth Social.

He also woke up railing against the seizure of his properties, including one colorful post in which he called his properties his “babies” and repeated his debunked attack that President Joe Biden is directing the cases against him:

On Monday’s edition of CNN News Central, Berman led off a panel discussion of the asset seizures Trump could face by referencing Trump’s post — and making a joke that took the “babies” metaphor quite literally as a reference to Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka Trump, and “maybe” Eric Trump:

So moments ago, Donald Trump posted on social media. He said he is being forced to sell his “babies,” which might come as news to Ivanka and Don. Maybe not Eric, we will see.

Trump is also set to appear in court Monday morning on the separate matter of the Stormy Daniels hush money case.
