‘This Is Repulsive’: Fox’s Brit Hume Rips Biden For Awarding Liz Cheney With Presidential Citizens Medal
Fox News’s Brit Hume rips President Joe Biden for awarding former vocal Trump critic former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) with the Presidential Citizens Medal.
The medal is the second highest civilian award in the country and is awarded to individuals who perform deeds of service for the United States. Cheney famously co-chaired the Select Committee investigation on the January 6th Capitol riot shortly before she was voted out of office.
Former Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-MS), who served alongside Cheney on the same investigation, will also receive the same medal. The pair helped issue a damning report that was critical of Trump’s lack of action amid the Capitol riot.
Hume wrote a post on X, formerly Twitter, criticizing Biden’s decision as “repulsive” and compared the committee to a “TV show.”
This is repulsive. That investigation was done by a committee all of whose members were chosen by Nancy Pelosi, and was produced like a TV show. There was no cross examination of witnesses. The media fell for it, but it was utterly one-sided. A show trial. https://t.co/9LSmr8rGCU
