Candace Owens Attacks ADL’s ‘Smear Merchant Guns’ — Grateful She Is Being ‘Targeted’ Over Her ‘Vitriolic Antisemitism’
Candace Owens attacked the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) and accused them of targeting her with their “smear merchant guns,” something she claimed on Friday she’s “grateful” for.
“I am grateful they have turned their smear merchant guns on me. The world already knows my heart. Their attacks will have the opposite desired effect,” Owens posted to X, formerly Twitter. “Awaken world. Thank you, [ADL].”
The post came in response to Mike Cernovich blasting the ADL after they accused Owens of “vitriolic antisemitism.”
The ADL posted a Media Matters link on Thursday about white supremacist Nick Fuentes praising Owens, who has faced accusations of antisemitism.
“White supremacist & Holocaust denier Nick Fuentes is praising Candace Owens’ vitriolic antisemitism. It’s hardly surprising, but it does set off alarm bells: When bigoted people come together to push an antisemitic agenda, it adds fuel to the fire of hate,” the ADL posted to X.
The Media Matters piece highlights Fuentes celebrating Owens and saying she’s been in a “full-fledged war with the Jews.”
Owens originally responded by saying she does not know Fuentes and by suggesting the ADL was engaging in a campaign to damage her.
“I do not know Nick Fuentes, but you already know that. What I do know is that everyone can see what you guys are doing to me. Your pattern is well established and the world is waking up to it,” she wrote. “My crime is having stood up for myself against your network of smears.”
Owens has made a number of recent statements that have come under fire and led some to question whether she’ll continue having a future at Ben Shapiro’s The Daily Wire.
She liked a post promoting a conspiracy theory about Jewish rabbis drinking Christian blood and accused “political Jews” of fueling antisemitism, among other statements that have earned backlash.
Fellow conservative political commentator Dave Rubin said on Thursday it’s “obvious” Owens wants to leave the company.
