Piers Morgan Calls Young Americans Who Approve of CEO Assassination ‘F*cking Morons’

Piers Morgan called the plurality of young Americans who approve of Luigi Mangione’s assassination of United HealthCare CEO Brian Thompson “f*cking morons” on Tuesday.

Morgan used the descriptor while sharing an article about an Emerson College poll that found that more young Americans (41%) between the ages of 18 and 29 believe that the assassination of Thompson was “acceptable” than don’t (40%). According to the survey of 1,000 registered voters, 24% said that Mangione’s murder was “somewhat acceptable” and 17% said it was “completely acceptable.” Thirty-three percent of that same cohort believes that the murder was completely unacceptable, and an additional 7% believes it was somewhat unacceptable.

At the age of 50, Thompson left behind 16 and 19-year-old sons after being gunned down in the middle of Manhattan earlier this month.

Morgan had previously expressed his outrage at the celebrations of Thompson’s murder when one of the ringleaders of those celebrations, internet personality Taylor Lorenz, joined his show and said that she felt “joy” after hearing the news.

“Joy?! Serious? Joy at a man’s execution?” he asked.

“Maybe not joy, but certainly not empathy,” backtracked Lorenz.

“How can this make you joyful? This guy is a husband, he’s a father, and he’s been gunned down in the middle of Manhattan. Why does that make you joyful?” followed-up Morgan.

Later in the conversation, Lorenz started laughing when Morgan asked her if “all” healthcare executives should be killed.

“Why are you laughing? You seem to find the whole thing hilarious. A bloke’s been murdered in the street. I don’t find it funny at all,” he said.

When she erupted in laughter again later in the program, he snapped.

“Taylor, I don’t mean to be rude, but why the fuck are you laughing all the time?” he interjected. “I don’t get it. Sorry, apologies for my language, but honestly I find it unbelievable! What are you laughing at?”
