A poll from Echelon Insights indicates that Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump is winning fans of The Joe Rogan Experience by 35 points over his Democratic counterpart, Vice President Kamala Harris.
The online survey of 1,005 registered voters across the country and conducted in late September carries a margin of error of 3.7 points.
Trump’s popularity among fans of the country’s most-listened-to podcast and its host, UFC commentator Joe Rogan, is particularly notable given Trump’s impending appearance on the show Friday. The former president’s decision to sit down with Rogan comes after Trump attacked Rogan over his praise of then-independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
“It will be interesting to see how loudly Joe Rogan gets BOOED the next time he enters the UFC Ring???” mused Trump in August. Ironically, Kennedy has since dropped out of the race and endorsed Trump.
Rogan had also previously expressed his reluctance to have Trump on his program, saying in 2022 that he was “not a Trump supporter in any way, shape or form,” and was “not interested in helping him.” He went on to say that he though such an appearance might “rehabilitate” Trump’s image.
The same poll from Echelon found that Trump was leading by 51 points among those who follow Elon Musk on X, 18 points among fans of Barstool Sports and its owner, Dave Portnoy, and 15 points among those who follow comedians like Theo Von and Shane Gillis.
Another notable finding from the poll was that even among non-white men whose “interests include Rogan, UFC, crypto, and/or Portnoy,” Trump boasts a 6-point lead over Harris. For those who do not have an interest in any of those people or items, Harris has a commanding 71-point lead.
On Thursday night, Harris campaign spokesman Ian Sams revealed that the vice president would not be sitting down with Rogan because of “scheduling.”
