Conservatives who complained during President-elect Donald Trump’s first term that then-First Lady Melania Trump was ignored by fashion magazines and the rest of the media will have an ally in Jeff Bezos to kick off the second Trump term, according to a report.

CEOs in tech and business have flocked to Mar-a-Lago in recent weeks to court Trump’s favor after he won the 2024 election. According to Fox News Digital, Melania Trump has also been embraced and will be the subject of an upcoming biographical film that Bezos’s Amazon Prime has licensed. The film will enjoy a theatrical run and will also be made available for streaming.

Fox News reported:

Amazon Prime has exclusively licensed a documentary film for global theatrical and streaming release that will give viewers an “unprecedented behind-the-scenes look” at First Lady Melania Trump’s life, Fox News Digital has learned.

Fox News Digital has learned that the project is expected to be released globally in theaters and for streaming use in the second half of 2025.

Filming for the upcoming documentary began in December 2024. The documentary will be executive produced by First Lady Melania Trump and Fernando Sulichin of New Element Media, with Brett Ratner of RatPac Entertainment serving as director.

Amazon Prime said in a statement it would be “sharing more details on the project as filming progresses and release plans are finalized.”

“We are excited to share this truly unique story with our millions of customers around the world,” the company added.

Ratner was essentially exiled from Hollywood at the peak of the #MeToo movement in 2017 when multiple women accused him of sexual misconduct. He moved to Israel after the controversy and has not made a film since 2014’s Hercules.

The Independent made note of gripes from the right during the final year of Trump’s first term about his wife’s lack of visibility:

A debate over Melania Trump’s absence from fashion magazine covers has been reignited after conservative actor James Woods questioned why the first lady has “never graced our nation’s major style magazine covers”.

Prior to becoming first lady, Mrs Trump worked as a fashion model – a career that eventually led to her meeting her husband President Donald Trump in September 1998.

However, since taking on the role of first lady, Mrs Trump has not appeared on any magazine covers. In comparison, Michelle Obama was featured on 12 magazine covers during her eight years as first lady, including Vogue three times, Glamour, Time, InStyle and Essence.

Mrs. Trump stated last month during a Fox News interview she had no interest in appearing on major magazine covers after the issue was raised by network anchor Brian Kilmeade.

“Look, I’ve been there on the covers — on the cover of Vogue, on the covers of many magazines before,” she said. “We have so many other important things to do than to be on the cover of any magazine.”

While Melania Trump might not be interested in appearing on Vogue again, her docu-film is being pushed by Amazon as the country’s CEOs continue to court favor with her husband.
